And is also part of a Jurassic coastline, with a prehistoric forest set on the beach which is believed to be more than 3 thousand years old. OriginallyI’m from a small coal-mining village called Fishburn. I moved to Redcar which is where my partner is from. I have the best job in the world. I’m a stay at home father with two young girls one 4 years of age and one 1 years of age.
2. Please Describe your skills:
Answer: I worked within the mental health sector, where I studied NVQ in health and social care, NVQ in Equality and Diversity, NVQ in women’s inequality and Diversity, DBTdialogical Behavioural Disorder, person-centered counselling and gained a diploma in PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) I use this knowledge and understanding of emotions and feelings along with my personal life experiences. I have always had an artistic side so with my academic learning I used these for create something for my daughter’s.
3. What inspired to pursue your passion?
Answer: After the birth of our first daughter. I was home alone with her, my partner was out of late at work. She works ina re-ablement setting, which is a new service helping empower individuals who have just been discharged from hospital. This covers a vast care need, I’m not keen on the medical side so I don’t ask. Anyway, we lived in a cold House full of drafts and shadows. This was an old firehouse once upon a time and a bit eerie at times (old houses that creak in the night). I had just givenmy daughter her last bottle for the night, I put her down in her mosses basket to sleep, Sophina was and is a great sleeper. Being our first child, I had a nervous few months. I couldn’t sleep and at times I found myself watching over Sophina at night. As I sat there watching her breath easing my nervous parental side. The wind wouldhowlthrough the house from outside the snow was heavy and bring one of the coldest nights of the year. I though of my partner who was out in the cold evening. I sat and wondered what my little girl would be growing up. Sophina was starting to change her eye colour, and they seemed to change daily as we wondered what colour her eyes would be. It came to me in a flood of information. I would write to her, explain life and individuals in world of light and dark magic. Times were ruff I had lost my job with many others where I worked. So I thought I’d write and see if I could publish a story even just for the sake of doing so for and about my daughter. This is where The Little Witch was made up and created. I written the last story first and so now I’ve had to write from the start to create a world of wonder for Sophina and Scarlett. Now having two daughter’s Scarlett gives me a new view on life and fresh ideas daily. Scarlett is the person Sophina longed to find and Scarlett thinks Sophina is the most amazing person in the world.
4. What are the difficulties you faced and how did you overcome?
Answer: The difficulties of writing is communicating effectively, especially to my two daughters. But all I can do is write what I see and have felt through life.
5. Your message to the audience/beginners?
Answer: The message I’m writing is the story of a young girl who is also a witch, she must find her other so to speak. A dark and light magical situation that bring two girls together. I watch as the characters grow in this fictional world and allow this young witch to understand life at her own pace in the story. I try to empower her in situations which are dangerous, and new experiences, but something in the shadows watches too. This is a story full of individual charters of the magical kind. And a world of secrets false truths in a light and dark world of magic. Ultimately this is a story for my daughter’s I couldn’t think of another way to show them how amazing they are and how much they are truly loved.
